‘Escape Room’ style with light puzzle elements
This VR Experience adapts the backgrounds and animations of the short film The Angst and the Bliss, written and directed by the Italian animation collective Mangoosta.
The short recounts Raymond Roussel’s last night on July 14, 1933.
The images of the film were originally handmade with various techniques on paper on various layers, that will be reassembled and adapted into a 3d virtual space under the direction of game designer’s team Mads&Friends. In this project, the three-dimensional virtual space is combined with the textural and handcrafted aspect of drawing on paper in a sensory experience that will give the feeling of being inside a handmade perspective theater.
